The teachers for our class are Mr Fraser (Monday to Thursday) and Mrs Shaw (Wednesday to Friday). Our wonderful Teaching Assistant is Mrs Baldwin (Monday to Thursday).
We are learning
In Literacy we will be reading Goodnight Mr Tom by Michelle Magorian, The Eagle in the Snow by Michael Morpurgo and Macbeth by William Shakespeare.
In Maths we will be following the National Curriculum supported by our new scheme, Maths No Problem. This term there will be a focus on arithmetic.
In Science our topics will be ‘Animals including Humans’ and ‘Light’.
In History our topic is World War 2.

Homework should be completed in your child’s red book.
Maths will be sent out weekly on Thursdays and is due in Wednesdays. Maths homework will be marked by the children in class so that feedback is immediate.
The children have a homework menu in the front of their books. These tasks should be completed by the end of term. The tasks will be marked at regular intervals. Awards will be given to the children who complete all of the tasks.
Spellings are sent out half termly and tests are on Mondays.
