Our Teaching Assistants are Mrs Sutcliffe, Mrs Allen, Mrs Husain, Ms Mc Veigh and Mrs Kenehan.
We welcome Mrs Dixon-Jones who will support our team this term.
We are learning
In English we will read a selection of Greek myths – starting with Theseus and the Minotaur - and will look in particular at the key features of myths
In Maths we will be studying time and calculating duration of time.
In science we are learning about rocks. We will be exploring shadow and light through practical sessions.
In Topic we are studying the Ancient Greeks .We will explore where Ancient Greece was located, who the Ancient Greek people were and when they lived.
Children need to bring their books and reading records daily. Please sign your child’s reading record when you hear them read. All books will be changed on Friday. Please indicate if you do not wish for it to be changed.
We have homework books which homework is set fortnightly. We collect homework on a Wednesday (please see dates on the task sheet in their book)
Spelling are given out at the beginning of each half term and will be tested on Fridays.
This term we will be swimming every Monday. Please provide all swimming things in a bag they can manage labelled with their names.
Please ensure your child has suitable PE kit for the warmer weather, children may wear sun hat, shorts or jogging bottoms for outdoor P.E sessions.
Year 3 PE- Monday and Thursday
Year 4 PE- Tuesday and Wednesday
Year 5 PE- Wednesday
Year 6 PE- Tuesday and Thursday
This term Forest School will be on Tuesdays for year 5 children. On Thursdays Willow class will also have a session at Forest School.
PE kits and Forest School clothes will stay in school till the last lesson of this term.
