Welcome to our Nursery!
Our class teacher is Mrs Jefferies and teaching assistants are Miss Billings and Miss Power.
We are learning
This term we are learning about Emergency Services, including visitors to talk to the children about how they help us and our community.
We will also be looking at ‘Traditional Stories’ which we will learn how to retell.
In phonics we are learning to recognise our own name and the initial sound in name and in other words.
In maths we have been practising our counting out loud and recognising numerals 0-10 and 10-20.
Children can choose a book from the class book corner to take home to read and they can change these daily.
We also have some maths and phonics resources that the children can take and have a go at home with you.
We would ask that if these could be returned the following week so that everyone can have the same opportunity of sharing our class resources at home.
All children on a Tuesday afternoon, up until Christmas, will need to have a change of clothes for the ‘Forest School’. This will change in January to the morning sessions.
Please check the nursery noticeboard at the gate for all updates, newsletters and dates to remember.
In the lead up to Christmas, we will be practising our production of ‘A Wriggly Nativity’. The performances will take place on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th of December at 1:50pm.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us on our class email addresses if you have any concerns or questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your continued support!
